Call for Proposals: Deadline Monday, May 20

Now's your chance to present at the SMFM 2025 Pregnancy Meeting™. The meeting centers on the society's work and features postgraduate courses and workshops, roundtables and expert sessions, scientific forums, and research presentations. 

Submitters may select from four different presentation formats:

  • Postgraduate Course
  • New Scientific Forum
  • New Special Interest Group
  • Other session format (i.e., luncheon roundtable, special topic forum, or focus group)

All proposals must be submitted via the Call for Proposal Submission Site on the required intake form by Monday, May 20.

IMPORTANT: The Program Committee may suggest modifications to all portions of this proposal, including the proposed faculty, to adhere to the Society's Commitment to Diversity Statement and/or ACCME's Standards of Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education.

We are pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the 2025 Pregnancy Meeting, which will be held Monday, January 27, through Saturday, February 1, in Aurora, Colorado, at the Gaylord Rockies.

The Pregnancy Meeting provides a platform for researchers, clinicians, and obstetrics experts to come together and share their latest findings and innovations.

We invite you to submit abstracts on topics related to pregnancy, including but not limited to:

  • Maternal health
  • Fetal development
  • Pregnancy complications
  • Prenatal care
  • Reproductive health

Submit an abstract for an opportunity to present your science in front of 3,000+ professionals from around the world and have your work published in The Pregnancy Journal supplement.

Yes, nonmembers can submit an abstract.

Yes, we accept industry-supported abstracts. All financial interests, commercial or federal funded research, must be disclosed upon submission.

No, the content of your abstract will not be submitted or presented at an international, national or district meeting and no paper arising from it will be published either in print or electronic format prior to the end of the Pregnancy Meeting. If you intend to submit your work for publication, you must be certain that the date of publication will be after February 1, 2025 (last day of the meeting). If you are not able to guarantee this, please do not submit the abstract.

No, we don’t accept panel presentations.

Abstracts are reviewed by blinded peer-review group. Each abstract is reviewed by a minimum of four experts. Oral abstract presentations are also reviewed by 4 senior reviewers. The scores and recommendations are then reviewed and confirmed by the Program Committee.

No, presenters are expected to pay the registration fee for the Pregnancy Meeting and attend the meeting in person in Aurora, CO.

Yes, abstracts can be edited before the submission deadline date, Monday, August 5, 2024. Please ensure that your title, authors, institution and abstract text is accurate prior to submitting.

Should this abstract be accepted for presentation, you agree to its publication and hereby assign its copyright to SMFM. The abstract will be published in the abstract supplement. The publication of the full paper is not guaranteed and would require your submission of a completed paper for full peer review evaluation prior to acceptance. Additional information regarding the manuscript submission step will be provided at a later date.
