The general abstract submission deadline is 9pm ET on Monday, August 4. The submission site will open in late May. Late-breaking abstract submissions will be accepted in October 2025.
Yes, non-members can submit an abstract.
Yes, we accept industry-supported abstracts. Upon submission, all financial interests, commercial or federally funded research, must be disclosed.
No, the content of your abstract will not be submitted or presented at an international, national, or district meeting, and no paper arising from it will be published either in print or electronic format prior to the end of the Pregnancy Meeting. If you intend to submit your work for publication, you must be certain that the publication date will be after the last day of the meeting. If you cannot guarantee this, please do not submit the abstract.
No, we don’t accept panel presentations.
Abstracts are reviewed by a blinded peer-review group. Each abstract is reviewed by a minimum of four experts. Four senior reviewers also review oral abstract presentations. The scores and recommendations are then reviewed and confirmed by the Program Committee.
No. Accepted presenters are expected to pay the full registration fee for the Pregnancy Meeting and attend the meeting in person.
No. Abstracts can be edited before the submission deadline, but they cannot be edited after. Please ensure your title, authors, institution, and abstract text are accurate before submitting.
Should this abstract be accepted for presentation, you agree to publication and hereby assign its copyright to SMFM. The abstract will be published in the abstract supplement. The publication of the full paper is not guaranteed and would require your submission of a completed paper for full peer review evaluation before acceptance. Additional information regarding the manuscript submission step will be provided later.
Late-breaking submissions will be accepted from October 6 - November 10, 2025.
