Clinical Trials Submission Process

Thank you for your interest in submitting a clinical trial. Below are instructions about the submission process and ordering details. 

  1. Those interested in submitting a clinical trial must complete the order form.
    1. A pre-payment is required on all orders. SMFM does not accept purchase orders or invoices. Please do not submit payment until you've received approval.  Approved studies with complete payment will be posted on the SMFM Clinical Trials and Studies Interest web page and accessible to SMFM members only for 6 months.
  2. There is a one-week turnaround time for review of the request. Studies submitted will either be:
    1. Rejected with explanation
    2.  Accepted for posting
  3. If the study is accepted, it is then:
    1.   Posted on the Clinical Trials and Studies of Interest page with the following disclaimer:
      i. Disclaimer that posted studies are not conducted or endorsed by SMFM but have been reviewed for relevancy of interest to members and others who visit www.smfm.org
      ii. A link to the Clinical Trials and Studies of Interest page will be included in two issues of the all-member SMFM monthly newsletter, Special Delivery.
    2.  
    3. The study post(s) contain the following:
      I. Name of clinical trial or study
      iv. Brief description of the study (paragraph or less)
      v. URL link to study
    4. The post remains active for 6 months. The investigator can re-submit the application and payment for renewed posting.
