Dr. Araiza-Illán is a physician with specialization in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
She graduated in medicine from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine from Instituto Nacional de Perinatología (INPer) / Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City. Since then, she has been serving mainly underserved population with maternal and fetal complications, practicing institutional and private medicine at the southeast of Mexico. She also has expertise in the follow up of pregnancies produced by assisted reproduction.
At the moment, she works as attending physician in CEM Clínica Hospital in Merida, Yucatan. In her practice, she offers diagnostic testing and follow up of high risk pregnancies.
Considering that Mexico is a developing country with important health deficiencies that are more pronounced in the marginalized zones, she has particular interest in serving this population because she is convinced that the prevention strategies and a timely diagnosis are two necessary elements to make a real change on the future of Mexican population.
