Margaret F Carter

 Dr. Margaret Carter has been a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL, for the past twelve years. Dr. Carter completed her undergraduate education at Howard University in Washington, DC, which is a historically HBCU; medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans; Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency training at Tulane Medical Center; Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship training and Master of Science degree at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio; and Master of Science in Health Administration from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Carter is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine and is board-certified by the American Board of Preventative Medicine in Addiction Medicine. She is well-published in Obstetrics and is a leader in medicine, exhibited by being a founder of two successful practices, working effectively as a solo practitioner when needed, and serving on many university, hospital, and medical society committees. She is also active in the community, volunteers on multiple community boards, is a member of various organizations, and is a mentor. Despite her busy career, Dr. Carter is the mother of one daughter and a wife. Dr. Carter is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys practicing yoga, spending time with her family, and relaxing.
