SMFM Medical Student Scholars Program
The Medical Student Scholars Program promotes a more diverse and inclusive workforce by enhancing awareness of obstetrics and women’s health careers. Recognizing the physician shortages in obstetrics, particularly among diverse/minority populations, SMFM aims to increase awareness of the specialty and showcase role models with diverse demographic, geographic, and economic backgrounds.
SMFM is dedicated to promoting practices and educational efforts that enhance diversity and inclusion within the physician workforce, with the goal of improving health outcomes and care delivery for pregnant individuals.
