Olympic Athlete and Maternal Health Advocate Allyson Felix to be Honored by SMFM on Feb. 12

WHO: The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) is the medical professional society for maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) subspecialists, obstetricians with additional training in high-risk pregnancies. 

WHAT: At its annual Pregnancy Meeting, SMFM will honor Olympic athlete Allyson Felix with an honorary membership. SMFM’s honorary members are people who have influenced perinatology in a significant and positive manner but are not MFMs. Felix is being recognized for her work as an advocate for equitable maternal health. Coverage of Felix accepting her award will be available on SMFM’s Instagram channel (@mysmfm) as a Live session. It will also be available for later viewing on SMFM’s Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube channels.

WHERE: Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, National Harbor, MD (near Washington, DC).
